QUICK SETUP INSTRUCTION
VEHICLE MOUNTED ALPHA OVERWATCH

PRE-Field Systems Check

  1. Clean LiDAR lenses with soft cloth and a vinegar based cleaner, avoiding gritty scratches.

  2. Test system for alarm and lighting functions (using steps below).

    • In Targeting Mode, wave your hand in front of the Head Unit.

    • In Infinity Mode, test beyond the “walk-in-front” buffer zone.

IF LiDAR Activation device is in the field:

  1. Survey the topography of the site to help with later programming mode selection.

  2. Select TRGT or INFTY Mode using toggle switch for the appropriate program mode.

  3. Flip the Overwatch Hub POWER switch to the ON position.

  4. Using the Video Display, target the device as desired.

  5. Verify that the LED display numbers are stable and not changing (wait 10 seconds).

    • TRGT Mode = Stable 4.2 or greater

    • INFTY Mode = Stable 3.2 or 3.3

  6. Press ARM button to arm system (LiDAR head should remain unadjusted after arming).

    • If the LiDAR head is moved after arming, the TRGT/INFTY Mode must be reset using center position on the Programming Mode rocker switch.

  7. Flip the HORN toggle switch to ON position.

IF Rollover Activation device is in the field:

  1. Position the pneumatic hose in the field as needed, within 1000 feet of the Overwatch Hub. The hose can be deployed in a straight or curved configuration, with preference for engagement by an offending driver at a slight angle (not a pure 90 degree engagement).

  2. Power ON the Rollover Activation device. The device will automatically sync with the Overwatch Hub.

  3. With the HORN set to an OFF position, the Operator may conduct a “stomp” test to verify connectivity to the Overwatch Hub. As configured at installation, a test light should flash to validate the test.

IF LRAD or Audible Alert devices are in the field (non-mounted):

  1. Position the non-mounted Audible Alert devices in the field as desired.

  2. Power ON the devices. Upon Power ON, these devices are live and subject to activation by LiDAR, Rollover, or Manual methods. A validation test is not available for these devices apart from audible activation.

POST-Field Systems Maintenance

  1. After use, power off the system using in-cabin controls.

  2. Charge all batteries of extravehicular devices (Audible devices, Rollover devices, etc.).
